FROM 2013:
So...tonight I decided I wanted to officially delete Facebook and go to blogging (ocasionally). I really feel like God has been working a lot with me lately and silly things like Facebook were just becoming a time-consumer...and for absolutely no reason at all. Does that mean I think Facebook is "bad"? No way! It's just something that I feel God has placed on my heart to get rid of right now.
It's easy to allow ourselves to get so bogged down with everyday life, that we limit God. We limit our conversations with Him. Our time with Him. Understanding Him. Glorifying Him. God never said that he wanted us to lock ourselves in a room and do nothing else, but He does want us to live a life of passion...a life of worship. Time is something that you cannot gain back. For me, I am tired of wasting it. Especially wasting it living on "the outside"...I truly want to live from the inside out.
If it takes me deleting Facebook or missing my favorite tv show in order to seek God more and allow Him to complete His perfect and good work inside of me, then so be it.
Romans 12: 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Lord, teach me to be like David and live a life of worship...
It saddens me how quickly I filled in the gap with more busy. But thank you God for your grace and mercy. Here is to a new day...
